Sterling's World, made easy to use

Welcome. This is the whole park, laid out simply: one thing per line, big text, strong contrast, and honest labels so you always know what you're walking into. Everything here works with a screen reader unless it says otherwise.

A reminder: Sterling's World is made for entertainment, not medical advice. Nothing here is a substitute for professional care.

Listen

๐ŸŽง The Park Behind Your Eyes A complete audio theme park where sound is the attraction โ€” a full guided day, or single rides. Built for you. Nothing here needs the screen. Settle somewhere safe before you start: these rides absorb you, and it's easy to lose track of the room around you. ๐Ÿ“ป Sterling FM The park's radio station, always playing. Press play and leave it on. ๐ŸŽต The Jukebox Sterling's albums, chosen by name and played start to finish.

Read

๐Ÿ“– Human Override โ€” accessible edition The park's whole novel as real text your screen reader reads naturally, with large print, high contrast, and a read-aloud voice. Thirty chapters; your place is saved. ๐Ÿ–Š๏ธ man.bat, Issue 01 โ€” full transcript The graphic novel that follows Human Override, written out in full: what every page shows, every caption, and every line of dialogue. Twenty-one pages. A grown-up story. ๐Ÿ“ Ride transcripts Written versions of the audio attractions, in large high-contrast text. Open any ride, then choose its transcript.

Play

These are the park's most screen-reader-friendly games โ€” they announce what's happening as you play. Some still involve reading the screen, so each one says what it asks of you.

๐Ÿง  Knowledge Board Pick a topic and answer questions. Text-based and announced โ€” the easiest game here to play by ear. ๐Ÿš‚ Sterling's Slow Train One gentle line of dominoes, no timers. Your hand and the line are announced as they change; some reading of the board is involved. ๐Ÿจ The Cognitive Creamery A parlour of small brain-treats โ€” word games and puzzles. The word games read well; a few of the puzzles are visual. ๐Ÿƒ Sterling's Hold'em Chips-only poker against the house, no wagering. Cards and bets are announced; reading the table helps. ๐Ÿ›ฃ๏ธ Signal & Noise: The Long Road A story-driven campaign told mostly in text. Long, and it does lean on reading.

Watch and listen

๐Ÿ“บ Sterling TV โ€” live The always-on channel. The talking carries most of it, though it is video. ๐ŸŽฌ Spoonflix Sterling's longer films on demand. Video, so parts are visual โ€” but good listening.

Rest

๐ŸŒฟ Sterling's Zen Den A calm corner: a slow breathing exercise with a track to match. Follow it by ear.

Your spoons

๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Your souvenir ticket The spoons you've gathered today, your badges, and a place to redeem secret codes.

Help

๐Ÿ’› Support What this park is, who makes it, and how to get in touch. ๐Ÿ  The standard lobby The regular visual park. Your accessibility settings come with you โ€” text stays large and contrast stays strong wherever you go.
Attractions that need sight

Being straight with you: these parts of the park can't be played or enjoyed without seeing the screen. They're listed so you know they exist and aren't left wondering โ€” not to send you somewhere frustrating.

  • The Rides โ€” big full-screen video attractions.
  • The Kid Zone, Doodle Land and colouring pages โ€” drawing and picture play.
  • Where's Sterling? โ€” a hidden-picture hunt.
  • The kids' arcade โ€” Betty's Breakout, Spoon Stacker, Scarfighter and Starlight Run are fast, drawn games.
  • Sterling Midway, Pulse Tap, Spoon Tactics and the board games โ€” these depend on seeing a board, cards or targets.
  • Wobbly Warriors โ€” a one-tap arcade brawler. It announces what's happening and plays with a single button, but the timing is judged by watching a moving bar.
  • The Souvenir Shop โ€” printable colouring pages and certificates.

If any of these could work for you in a different form, that's genuinely worth telling us on the support page โ€” it's how the audio park came to exist.
