Backgammon basics

  1. Blue moves from point 24 toward point 1. Gold moves from point 1 toward point 24.
  2. Use both dice when possible. Doubles give four moves.
  3. A point occupied by two or more opposing checkers is blocked.
  4. Landing on one opposing checker sends it to the bar.
  5. A checker on the bar must re-enter before any other checker can move.
  6. When all your checkers are in your home board, begin bearing them off.
